Terms of Service

These terms apply to your use of the yaplab iOS app, published by Carl Stenqvist AB, Swedish company registration number 556706-9280 ("we", "us"). By using the app you accept them.

1. What yaplab is

yaplab helps you plan, script, record and edit short-form videos, and — optionally — view statistics for your own Instagram professional account. The app is provided as-is, and features may change or be removed between versions.

2. Your OpenAI key and costs

AI features run on an OpenAI API key that you provide. You are responsible for that account, for keeping the key confidential, for complying with OpenAI's terms, and for any usage costs it incurs. We neither resell nor subsidise those costs, and we cannot refund them.

3. AI output

Scripts, titles, transcripts and suggestions are generated by a language model. They can be wrong, and they are suggestions only. You are responsible for reviewing anything you publish.

4. Instagram connection

Connecting Instagram is optional. You may only connect an account you are entitled to manage, and your use of Meta's platform remains subject to Meta's own terms. We access only your own account's data, for the purposes described in the Privacy Policy. You can disconnect at any time in Settings.

5. Your content

Your recordings, scripts and other content are yours. They are stored on your device; we claim no rights over them and have no access to them.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use yaplab to create or publish unlawful material, to impersonate others, or to circumvent the rules of any platform you post to.

7. No warranty and limitation of liability

The app is provided without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost recordings, lost data, lost revenue, third-party API costs, or any indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your statutory consumer rights.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by Swedish law, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory law in your country of residence.
