How to delete your data

yaplab has no user accounts and no server-side database. Everything the app creates — videos, scripts, transcripts, plans, your OpenAI key and your Instagram token — is stored on your iPhone. There is no copy on our servers to delete, so deletion is something you can complete yourself, immediately.
1. Disconnect Instagram
In yaplab, open Settings and tap Disconnect under the Instagram section. This deletes the stored access token from your device's Keychain and stops all further access to your Instagram data.
2. Remove yaplab from your Facebook account
To revoke the permission itself at Meta's end:
- On the web, go to Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites
- In the Facebook app, go to Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites
- Find yaplab in the list and choose Remove
Meta will then invalidate the token that was issued to the app.
3. Delete the app's local data
Deleting yaplab from your iPhone removes its recordings, exports, scripts, plans and stored credentials along with it. Videos you have already saved to your photo library are yours and stay in Photos until you delete them there.
4. Remove your OpenAI data
AI features run on your own OpenAI API key, so any transcription or generation history sits in your own OpenAI account. Manage or delete it at platform.openai.com, and revoke the key there if you want to be certain the app can no longer use it.
5. Ask us
If you would like written confirmation, or believe some data about you exists somewhere we have not accounted for, email calle@plan8.se with the subject "Data deletion". We will respond within 30 days. The only user-related data we may hold is an error-report email containing a technical error message, app version and timestamp — say the word and we will delete it.
